"I've taught Spanish for five years before I came to Wheaton. I taught in a Catholic school where I could share my faith and realized that what I really want to do was teaching about God and about the Bible. We only ever do good because Christ is in us." "I really love the people at Wheaton. It’s like being around with people who are like me for the first time in our lives. And we understand each other. In our Biblical exegesis' departmental chapel, I get to worship God at school -- not everyone gets that. The nature of our program is that they are growing us for Ph.D. studies. They want to teach us how to be the best students we can be which requires learning our weaknesses -- that’s a huge talent. My biggest takeaway is how to do scholarly work and how to form my own ideas. I enjoy finding sources that are unique to me." -- Laura Steege M.A. '17 in Biblical Exegesis |
